Richard & Lindsey are proud to welcome you to our award winning 15th century pub and restaurant, in the North Yorkshire village of Wombleton, three miles from the market town Helmsley.
The Plough is owned and operated by longstanding hospitality couple, Richard & Lindsey Johns.
Our food is lovingly prepared in a welcoming setting, recognised in the esteemed Estrella Top 100 UK gastropubs just three months after opening. We’re also listed in the 2024 Good Food Guide.
Pub & Restaurant
The Plough has been dispensing food & refreshments to weary travellers since 1498.

Reservations are available Wednesday to Sunday. We serve award-winning roasts as part of our Sunday lunch menu. We are closed on Tuesdays.
